500 Internal Server Error

Hi,
I am using MLA 2.33 for 2 years.
Suddenly – as it seems to me not connected to any update – a wordpress user (editor) is getting now the 500 Internal Server Error when he trys to load /wp-admin/upload.php?page=mla-menu.
At the same time I as administrator can load the page.
Changing his role also to admin – no difference, he couldnt load MLA.
The error log says: End of script output before headers: upload.php, referer: http://lebensweg-ev.de/wp-admin/index.php
The providers says: everything is well configured – may be its a compatibility problem of the plugin …
So – do you have an idea what is going on and what i can do to fix it?

Hello — I’ve seen this topic posted and even resolved before, but I’m still having trouble. I am very much NOT a programmer, so some of the jargon & procedures that may be familiar to many of you likely are not familiar to me. Here’s my problem:

Been using WooCommerce on a premium theme (Lunchbox Pro) for over a year. For payment, I have been using the Simplify Commerce Gateway. Never had any problems until recently. Now, all of a sudden, when placing an order, “nothing happens.” When scrolling to the top of the screen, it says “Internal Server Error.” The customer’s payment DOES go through, but they don’t think it does so they end up resubmitting the order several times, causing multiple duplicate transactions.

The problem first occurred probably 6 weeks ago and I thought it was just a fluke, but now it happens every time. I have currently disabled the Simplify Commerce Gateway and am using PayPal until this is resolved.

So, here’s what I’ve done so far:

I followed the instructions on this forum to debug, and discovered this message:
SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0

Using the console in Chrome, it says “Unable to fix malformed JSON” and then “checkout.min.js:1”

I’m not sure where to go from here. I contacted Simplify and they told me the problem is within the website, and not with them. I’d appreciate any help you could give a non-tech guy like myself. Thanks.

HI, the plugin itself seems great and I would love to use it. BUT, as soon as it’s activated my users experience “Internal Server Error” on random pages. So I had to deactivate and find another plugin. Bummer!

Internal Server Error after submitting charge payment

After adding credit card (using WooCommerce Authorize.net plugin) and hitting the submit button, customer receives the following error message “Internal Server Error”

We have had our host increase PHP Memory and update MySQL and still receiving this same error. Orders are coming through and authorized. However, the customer does not know this.

I was doing some simple edits last night (uploading/replacing images, adding custom CSS to menu styles, adding new menu links) when suddenly I began to get internal server errors

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.  ...
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I finally renamed by .htaccess and the site popped back up – at least the homepage – I didn’t look at the other pages before quitting for the night. This morning I began editing again and the same thing happened. But this time I took note of a few more things.

1. Looking in my cPanel it show that Memory Usage is maxing out.
2. I/O usage is maxing out.
3. The admin section works but live site gives “internal server error” for the homepage and 404 errors (or sometimes 500) on all other pages.
4. renaming the HTACCESS file temporarily brings back the homepage.
5. I did try re-saving the permalinks under settings but that does’t fix the 404 or 500 error for those pages.
6. No new plugins in the last couple weeks
7. Nothing showing up in error log

Using most recent WordPress
Avada theme (up-to-date)
server is mySQL 5.6 on UNIX

Hi I am Sunil,

I copied one wordpress site from one server to another with different name and made the proper settings.

Few of the links is not working, throwing 500 internal server error. In logs it didn’t written any information. 775 permissions are there.

Kindly help me on this issue.

Just upgraded WP to 4.7, only to find that this plugin qTranslate-x is causing the 500 error. I have tried to disable each plugin one by one, indeed I can pinpoint that it is qTranslate-x that is causing the problem. What should I do? Wish that you have an updated version to fix this problem.

Products over 800 variations -> internal server error

Hello,
I am running a woocommerce website on Bitnami/AWS. Some of the products have a high number of variations and everything works fine up to 800 variations but over that number the product page does not load and i am getting and “Internal Server Error” message.

Other products with less variations seem to work fine.

I used to have another issue with variations that only about half of them showed on the front end and this has been fixed by increasing “max_input_vars” and “post_max_size” in the php.ini file.

After some testing i’ve figured the “Internal Server Error” issue starts over 800 variations but it still concerns several products and their pages only show the error message.

What do you suggest doing to fix this?

Internal Server error when I purge the cache

I have a big site with a big cache. W3 Total Cache work fine for me.

But when I click to “empty all caches” or “save and purge cache” then the backend loads very long (> 30 s) and then I receive an Internal Server Error. The problem must be an php time problem, then when I repeat this steps many times then after x times the problem goes away. Probably because than the entire cache was deleted. With small cache, I not have this problem. Only with big caches.

I think it would be better if your program intercepted this problem so that no Internal Error are shown. Can you do that?

(Or you think that is only a problem of my installation?)

Profile Page Internal Server Error

I have been using UM for some time and everything was working fine. Recently when a user attempts to access their UM profile, an Internal Server Error message appears. I updated the plugin to the latest version, but that did not fix the issue. Any suggestions?

500 Internal Server Error – Host says Website is hacked?

Hello Experts,

Since a certain time an error occurs very often on my website “Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

Today I was talking to my host provider and they took a look into the File Manager to see what may cause the problem. After searching they found a text data named .htaccess. They told me the content of this test data looks like my website was hacked and now they told me to delete everything and redo everything again. The website is currently still in maintenance mode due to setting up.
Is there any way to solve that problem without doing everything again since it took me very long time creating the website 🙁
Please help.
If you need more information please let me know and I am looking forward to finding a way to resolve that problem without doing everything again.

Can’t update ACFs using JSON

I’ve got a custom post type called “artist”, with a text ACF called “artist_first_name”.

When I update it by sending form data, it works fine:

500 Internal server error as soon as Yoast SEO is activated

Hello,

I am having an issue with yoast SEO. When I activate the plugin, I get an internal server error. And when I delete the folder wordpress-seo from plugins the error goes away and I can use the website.

Does anyone has any idea of how to fix this.

Deactivating plugin broke admin

Greetings:

When I deactivated Pretty Link Lite 1.7.2 (because I intended to update to 2.0.2 and have learned it’s usually better to deactivate a plugin before updating, because WP will refrain from reactivating it if it would cause a fatal error), I immediately got an Internal Server Error [how ironic! 🙁 ]. Only the admin is broken. The website is still functional and shows me as logged in.

I have tried checking the .htaccess and disabling all plugins, but neither allows me to access wp-admin.

How do I solve this? I need administrative access.

500 Internal Server Error

Since the latest update (1.1.6.1) some of our users reported 500 internal server error on our sites in which Total is being used as the theme.

I’ve tested it myself and it is indeed true. There’s no problem on my other sites that use other themes.

For example, this morning: I tried to open one of my Total themed sites, www.ratuim.com.
It immediately shows 500 internal server error. I refreshed it and it opened just fine. But then I tried to open another page on that website and i got another 500 internal server error message. I refreshed it and it opened fine.

It happened to my other sites too such as www.dompetpria.com and www.produklebah.com.

There were no errors from my non-Total websites.

Internal Server Error

Hello, I wanted to use your plugin to speed up the website and avoid using too many plugins if only one does several things. However, after installing it through filezilla, I went to activae it (it´s a multisite network) and got Internal Server Error. I tried to go baxck but everything was down. Once I removed the folder through Filezilla, I was able to load the admin site again. Could it a problem with the WordPress version or with Multisite? I´m very new to all this so I am not sure how to troubleshoot it. Any assistance will be appreciated. Thanks.
