So my site was working fine when I went to bed a little over a week ago. When I woke up the next morning, my site was down and giving me an internal server 500 error. I decided to contact my host support at bluehost. After a few days of waiting and no reply, I did some research on my own and found some bad reviews on bluehost and decided to change my host to hostgator (who I bought my domain name from). So i changed the nameservers in wordpress to redirect to hostgator, which it is. So now when I type in my URL, it takes me to a hostgator page where I can log into my hostgator profile (no internal server 500 error as before, but still not my website) That was about 6 days ago. I have contacted them and still have not received an email back. when I am in my wordpress dashboard, there is a red triangle by my blog's name and when you click it, it says it can not access my sites data. If i click on the wp admin, themes, customize, etx. tabs in the wordpress back end it takes me to a hostgator 404 error page. I have read about changing the htaccess.file. which i have but did not help. I have read about resetting the permalinks, but do not have any where to do it (no permalinks in my menu or any of the menu options, i have looked numerous times. SO basically I am at a stand still, this is a website that I just finished and had up and running for a short while, but it is my business page and everyday it is down is affecting my business more and more. I am ready to just recreate another page, because I feel like it would just be faster, but would really like to avoid that time consuming process. ANy help is GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks!!
