I have a website yuthungkungfu.com/blog using wordpress and hosted by Yahoo. Everything was good until I updated a stack of plugins on 18th April. After that something happened and I noted that the all-in-one calendar was missing. When I went into the admin section the screen was blank. If I refresh it says 500 - internal server error. I've read heaps of blogs over a few nights and accessed my website via FTP Fileziller. I put all the plugins on hold - it did nothing. I also added in a php.ini file via the admin section of yahoo and it didn't work. I don't have a .htaccess file and tried making one via FTP and it didn't allow me. I then removed the akismet social plugin altogether by deleting the folder via FTP. I could then access my wp-admin page sometimes but anything I click the page goes blank. I tried deactivating all the plugins via this page but it goes blank. Now my webpage is even worse - you can get to the home page but any other page is blank (at least yesterday the actual website was working minus a calendar and minus me being able to get to admin page! Right now I am using the yahoo snapshot backups facility to restore each file from each plugin from 13 April if they are different to now (esp if they were modified on 18 April.) However there are 100's of files and it will take me hours. Can you suggest of any other way and do you think this will work? I don't know how to upload wordpress again minus the wp-content folder. I even used yahoo to upload a new wordpress into a new folder and low and behold even the admin section of this one goes blank if I click on anything! I've contact yahoo and they have told me that it is a wordpress issue. I have threated them that I will terminate the webhosting since I use this to run a martial arts business and we can't go without a website!
