I first installed WordPress in the hopes of using it as the main Updates portion of my page, not for the entirety of the site.
First of all, my main URL is located at firesanctuary.com.
I have my game related pages located at firesanctuary.com/DOD3 and I have another URL (drakengard-3.com) pointing to this directory so it will automatically load the files in the DOD3 directory from this new domain name.
I installed the WordPress files into firesanctuary.com/DOD3/blog.
I want the WordPress page to load when you go directly to drakengard-3.com but I want to preserve the original .html files that are in the base DOD3 directory (story.html, characters.html, etc).
I attempted to get this odd usage of pointing URLs to work but I can't seem to figure it out perfectly. Sometimes I can get the blog to load okay when loading drakengard-3.com but then the other pages (story.html, characters.html, etc) come up with an Internal Server 500 Error.
If anyone has an idea what I'm doing wrong, how I am able to preserve the original HTML pages in the DOD3 directory while loading WordPress only for the main domain name, I'd greatly appreciate it!
If the easiest solution is to simply rework the various HTML pages into WordPress, I will attempt to do that, but my knowledge of PHP is pretty limited.
Thanks much!! <3
